The climate in Antartica is like a desert because it is windy and dry. It is made of ice. Penguins are residents of Antartica. There are many types of penguins, such as Little Blue, Megellanic, Emperor and King. My favorite is the King penguin even though they are not the biggest. Penguins molt once a year because their feathers become old and damaged. They can not get wet until the new feathers finish growing in. Their preditors are sea lions, orka whales and lepord seals. Penguins can swim 15 miles per hour. Since they can swim so fast they can leap out of the water six feet high!! Wow, is that fast or what? There are no camels and they do not have salad with lemons.
